Above is a photo taken from a 1st Air Cavalry magazine. It

shows a wounded Grunt being lifted up to a Med-a-vac copter.

If I had my own personal photo of the many times we had our wounded

extracted this way the photo would be the same. It's also the way

our dead were picked up.

 

In the diary you will read of incidents where we found bicycles in

the illustrations on the right you can see how the enemy

utilized bicycles to carry up to several hundred pounds of arms and supplies.

The photo below (courtesy of Ed Griffith) shows some actual photos of some bicycles we found in Cambodia. (Note the bamboo poles for guiding the bike.)
