007Jup-Sat Near ...

Perseids, 11 and 12th of August.
In general best time to observe them is in the early morning.
The late-night side ( or early-morning side) of our planet is then turned toward the outside of the solar system. We then fly into any Perseids, rather than having them overtake us.

It is undoubtedly my Vixen refractor f/9 102 ED . Built in Japan in the nineties of the previous century ( so it is a semi-classic), I bought it third-hand. The first owner could not handle it any more. The second one, a fellow-member of the public observatory I belong to, just had bought a 130mm ...

For today, I ' ll stop at 10.
